So the DNI is refusing to follow the law as written and is refusing to turn over a whistleblower complaint that was properly documented.
Instead, the DNI is “following orders from someone above him” to withhold it.
Turns out laws are only as good as the people upholding them.
@StephenKing
My daughter-in-law is an Iraq war veteran. She said getting the Covid vaccine isn’t nearly as scary as being ordered to be vaccinated against anthrax, which is what service members had to do when she served.
@PrezLives2022
I knew this would happen. They don’t dare let him talk. They will also start having him only speak in the mornings to avoid the sundowner effect.

That thing about breaking the teacher’s union was a contender for the bottom, as was the blather about full term abortions.
The Republicans make up lies about the Democratic platform and then argue against those lies.
@whoisalexjacob
@WheelofFortune
If the words are said correctly and in the right order, before the buzzer, that should be a win. This bs about too long a gap before the last word is uttered is super bogus!
@BlueOceanGal1

Reagan was popular, and he’s the one who sold us on the fallacy of “trickle down economics” but it was Newt Gingrich who turned the republican playbook to underhanded, spiteful, mean and nasty.

What a freaking hassle! In Washington our ballot comes in the mail. You also receive a booklet explaining the issues/describing the candidates. You vote at the kitchen table and drop it in a drop box, the locations of which are provided with your ballot, or mail it back for free.

Taking stuff away from people does not sound like the Democrats MO. In fact the main complaint about them is that they give too much to the people of America.

I smoked, I am grieving that a couple of my long time friends believe the Trump Alternate Reality. We don’t talk politics, but have touched on it enough for me to realize they are lost. It is crazy and awful and they are all in. I can’t reach them.

What happened to the days when trump could just spew and demand and people would scramble around him trying to make it so?
Welcome to the United States legal system Donald.
@brianklaas
@jancaru2
You are right. I am hopeful that this whole Trump experience tightens up oversight, regulations and requirements in a lot of areas. One of them being that they watch the big guys like a hawk, and don’t allow unlawful behavior to go unchallenged.

We have compassion fatigue because we have such extreme pandemic fatigue. If everyone would step up to the plate and get vaccinated we could begin to put this pandemic behind us.

I completely agree that a recusal by Thomas is an implicit admission to his wife’s involvement in the insurrection. I find it interesting that no journalist that I’ve seen has pointed this out.

When Musk way overpaid for Twitter, and then threw out the staff, I knew his supposed business genius was a myth. Figured out the white nationalist bigot stuff when he started tweeting.
Apartheid Elmo.
@AvengerResister
My most ingrained memory of a President when I was in high school (not a senior) was when the principal came over the intercom and announced that President Kennedy had been assassinated. Such a heartbreaking shock.
So Pence announces 2500 Covid 19 test kits going out like that’s significant in the US.
I see you Trump administration.
No test kits = fewer reported cases.
Fewer reported cases makes Trump look better.
Doesn’t really matter if people die, gotta make Trump look good.
@RpsAgainstTrump
This is how it used to/should be with Republicans. You can almost completely disagree with their politics and still respect them deeply as humans. To Liz Cheney, right matters!

Indigenous people knew how to live sustainably on the Earth 🌎. That is the biggest lesson we did not learn from them. To the detriment of all.

‘Know Lance, not exactly celebrities, but President Kennedy being assassinated followed by Bobby Kennedy and then Martin Luther King Jr.
Those were hard to take, and the world no longer felt safe.
@OmarRiverosays
@Kropotkinista
It’s kind of sweet that trump is getting effed in this way. Years of not paying bills & suing people who couldn’t afford attorneys fees so they would give in. Now the fact that people cannot afford attorneys fees has put him in jeopardy! They’re flipping to avoid attorneys fees.
@wcbuecker
@keeper7000
Ummm interesting compartmentalization. But it doesn’t appear to me from the video that any other “private citizen” in that theater was acting like you and your current squeeze. So as one private citizen to another, you were being disgusting and rude. In public.
@SteveMartinToGo
@Blisscartoons
Ok, here’s my interpretation. “Have you read all these?” is something you would ask someone who showed you into their library. Obviously then, the line is meant as a reference to the dearth of books in the room, and additionally our society’s attachment to tv instead of reading.
This is the day our family celebrates Christmas. Gifts, a big delicious dinner. My son bought a 21 lb. Prime rib roast…
Christmas Eve I felt a cold coming on. In abundance of caution I took a home rapid test. Positive 😖. Our Christmas is postponed and I am sequestered.
@SaysHummingbird
I know!
I mean the President of the United States has been openly observed instructing people to break the law!
Something consequential has to happen!
@AVindman
Alexander, the rules weren’t written for the situation our country faced. General Milley was confronted with the unspeakable, unacceptable situation of an unbalanced Commander in Chief. General Milley did what was right, and here right matters.
@MeidasTouch
Coming from Ron Johnson, it means Republican reforms ie: cutting payments to seniors and disabled people or Cutting back Medicare and Medicaid. Reform to Republicans means take aways from the middle and working class and poor.
And often giveaways to the obscenely wealthy.
NOT holding Trump accountable would be dangerous. This idea that criminally charging him for trying to overturn the results of an election he knew he lost, 'sets a dangerous precedent' is insane! It's the other way around and they know it!
@PrezLives2022
They are slowly coming to realize that being a big important mouthpiece for a minute might be fun, (owning the libs and all that) they better have squeaky clean closets themselves.

I read your bio. It is not possible to be a Trump fan and at the same time to believe in common sense and logic. Those terms are mutually exclusive.
@WarrenHargis

I experienced that when I read “Stalin’s Daughter”. Trump does not have the ability to disappear people to death or a Siberian work camp, but you know he would do that in a heartbeat to numbers of people, if he could. Constant twisting of reality to justify the need for cruelty.
@wahlstedt007
Your incredulousness is understandable. The gun situation in the US is nuts! Organizations such as the NRA should be huge proponents of gun safety and regulations designed to protect the public. They should be sponsoring gun safety courses & promoting responsible gun ownership.

@highbrow_nobrow
@Acyn
It is not about disagreeing with a different opinion or point of view, trump is an out and out liar! Why should anyone listen to or debate pure falsehoods? You legitimized his lies by giving him this platform. And yes, actually he will go away much quicker if he has no publicity

There is no reason not to. Pence is never gonna be the Republican candidate for President anyway. He might as well do something that would make him look better in the history books.
