Nursed my a** off before, during and will long after the pandemic. My pay growth is -25% since 2010. MINUS! MPs are the last people who should be funded by public sector pay/ benefit increases. This will not help the mood of the country against rising fuel costs & inflation.

If there was ever a time to realise #NHSPay15 is possible, this is it. A 15% pay rise costs £5.1 billion - down to £990 million after 81% is reabsorbed back into the economy. The magic money tree grows so fruitfully when it comes to think tanks but not low earners & NHS staff.

@iDrSunny It was the vomiting 2 year old for me. A 2 year old!! I thought the PA course was for barn door ‘diagnoses’ like hypertension (and even that’s contentious) but a vomiting infant.. not barn door IMHO.

Reasons I love knitting… An elderly lady just stopped to ask about what I was making then spoke about her own projects - we spoke for an hour - she said I’m the first stranger she’s stopped to talk to for months since Covid and thanked me for the interaction - my heart ❤️

Simple maths #NHSPay After 12yrs austerity: A typical nurse >8+ years experience on £14.08/hr in 2010 should be on £19.38/hr, instead is on £16.84/hr. Pay erosion ⬇️ + high responsibility + living costs ⬆️ = nurses leave ☹️ = less nurses ⬇️ = poor care 😱 Time for pay parity!

There we have it.. 1% Meaning nurses will be 17.4% behind in pay parity with MPs & HCAs 14.85% behind. All in it together? From one pay squeeze to another, but not for MPs. The discrepancy & disdain from government is palpable - I have had enough. Time to fight, time to win.

@and_the_law_won I think they’re doing remarkably well considering they receive 8% of the NHS budget for 90% of the contacts. What a balancing act! There is also a recruitment/ retention problem in GP, so on top of seeing increasing demand, there’s sometimes less staff to fulfill appointments.

I am worth more than 1% Short staffing, burnout, missed breaks & unpaid overtime is the reality for many NHS staff and impacts on patient care. The discrepancy & disdain from this government over our and our patients well-being is palpable - enough is enough. #NHSPay15

Amazes me that the rules of market forces - supply & demand - work everywhere EXCEPT nursing. Wages stagnated for 11 years > pay doesn’t match responsibility > nurses leave. Billions for their mates but not for NHS 🤷🏼‍♀️ see how this works? @sajidjavid wants the NHS to fail.

Who gives a £22 Billion contract to a company who has been prosecuted for FRAUD twice by the SFO? Why did she approve the money for a 11 year old excel spreadsheet? Then use £15 Billion more to make it not work? Where did the money go? Why are the SFO not investigating this?
