@_chinara_ Not enough cleaning staff. Low wage, labor intensive work. The cleaning carts alone can weigh hundreds of pounds and the lifting of mattress corners to change sheets causes regular work place injuries.

@ambernoelle I’m a millennial who graduated during the Great Recession. but I went to school on scholarship and not having student loan debt made my broke years possible. A lot of folks then (and now) were drowning in student loans on top of there being no jobs and the cost of living rising.

@latkedelrey I lived in a house w a few roommates and had to frequently argue with the main one about locking doors AND she liked to leave the backdoor wide open at night while we were sleeping to let cool air in, all she let in were stray cats and bugs 🫠

@GlamazonJay It’s the BMI and men’s “standards” messing everyone over. I’m 5’3” and I haven’t been within the weight range the BMI says is healthy for me since freshman year of college and I was absurdly skinny in those pics. Wouldn’t ever work for my adult body once my curves came in.

@ItsDanaWhite I had a company put me through 8 interviewers last yr + a 5K word writing sample that I asked if they planned to publish. They said no. I signed up for their newsletter and sent them an invoice for $1/word when it popped up mths later. Which, to their credit, they promptly paid.

@ask_aubry I had a hairdresser in Denver once who told me she was a “mail-order bride.” She told me most of these men don’t have money for real, the ones who do use it to control them, she and her friends were married to abusers. She got her citizenship, went to hair school and divorced.
