In Ireland 2023, you can have your girlfriend murdered. You can make a comment that 80%+ of the country agree with, is relevant to the case in hand and in response, you will get the media not only censoring you, they will say you are inciting hatred. Where are the adults?

Irish Times journalist Kitty Holland says the Irish media "were right" to not publish the full comments of Ryan Casey, boyfriend of murdered 23-year-old Ashling Murphy, claiming that his remarks were "incitement to hatred" and that it wouldn't be "helpful" to share them. #gript

As a barometer for where we are, today was very good. Good energy, good vibes, a lot of people turning up, on point and didn't get dragged down with other issues. NGOs on their bank holiday, so no one turned up on that side. Next turning point will be the referenda.

It's an incredible achievement in its own way. You spend weeks and weeks arguing for a referendum because of carer's rights and then bizarrely, in the space of thirty seconds, disagree with your own referendum. Imagine being this guy's advisor, looking on at this trainwreck.

Irish Taoiseach (Prime Minister) says he believes it is not the responsibility of the state to look after people living with disabilities. In what can only be described as comments made by a man adrift from the realities of life for many carers, Varadkar went on to talk about…

BREAKING: Joseph’s Madigan (FG - Dublin Rathdown) has announced that she will not seek re-election. She becomes the 11th Fine Gael TD to do so, equalling the record set by FF in 2011 for % of retiring incumbents (32.4%).

Leo Varadkar leaks documents to competitors and breaks the law multiple times, admits it under Dail privilege and boasts about colluding with Twitter to censor dissidents. Nothing from journalists. Nationalists get attacked with hammers and a minibus. Nothing from journalists.

Remember when they tried to turn Nshenko into an example of Irish people being racist? The two men in Sligo as proof Ireland is homophobic? Ashling Murphy as an example of Irish people are misogynists? Irish people are not "evil far right." Once again, the narrative is failing.

What a powerful response to the attempts to spread division and hate. There are enough resources in this country for everyone to have a decent home, job and services and welcome refugees. We need to unite against those who currently hoard that wealth. #IrelandForAll

My solution to this problem is send them to Dun Laoghaire or Dublin Bay South. Sure, they've been calling everyone else "for roight" for the past god knows how long haven't they. Now is the time for them to step up, and show us how it is done!

Tent city was dismantled this morning to save the Irish government from negative press on St Patrick's Day. Meanwhile, occupants of tent city are trying to break out of their new accommodation and return to Dublin.

Tony Holohan saying antigen tests have a false negative rate of 50% is remarkable, and any journalist should have been on that percentage. It means that every other country rolling then out is wrong and Tony Holohan is correct. Or the opposite. Which is it?

You could put them in Varadkar's area in Castleknock. Or you could put them in Neale Richmond's constituency. I'm sure all the "Leo's a ledge" people would be delighted to have a few hundred men staying in a hotel situated close to their home.

"Only eight percent of people polled said they would vote for Conor McGregor." So to rephrase this, if McGregor ran, he would be the the equivalent of being the fourth most popular political party in the country despite negative media attention and starting off all by himself.

Remember I said that NPHET are reactive rather than proactive? Isn't it fascinating that they've made no move on the vaccine free this time? And that the "unvaccinated in ICU" narrative has morphed into the "Omicron is deadly" narrative? Something's missing here.

Let's put aside the being Irish content of this tweet for a second. If I lived in a foreign country, I would be thankful, I would respect their culture and would not badmouth the natives in anyway. It's rude, it's autistic, it's disrespectful to act in the way you are doing.

Many Irish people of colour are tired & don’t want to stand up to this narrative that being Irish is equated with whiteness or American Irish diaspora. Enough! This is our home. We are Irish. We contribute to this beautiful country. Ireland is inclusive. We ain’t shutting up! ☘️

We currently have a Taoiseach who quoted Love Actually when he was making diplomatic trips to the United Kingdom and who wrote fan letters to Kylie Minogue. The decline across all of our elites over the past couple of decades has been astonishing in terms of speed.

During the Cuban missile crisis you could be reasonably confident western leaders had read Machiavelli, Thucydides and Von Clausewitz. An optimistic assessment of our current leaders would be that they’d read Bridget Jones Diary in the early 00s

If I go to another country I am a guest. I am a foreigner. I thank them for welcoming me. I don't ask for special treatment, I accept I will always be an outsider, and will always be a second class citizen compared to the natives. That's normal. Apparently this is controversial.

Spoiler: Leo Varadkar will get away with it. Again. There's a very good chance this government will last the full term. A general election would bury the three main parties, so with that, what incentive does anyone have to go after Varadkar?

You have terrorized local people with people being bussed into their communities, threatened people with jail time for hurty words, and tried to bring in referendums that would have destroyed the state's ability to manage the movement of people. No one has any sympathy anymore.
