Hell yeah I’m a Canadian and I pay for my socialized medicine with taxes! Sure once in 2011 I got dinged for $9k while I was self employed, but in exchange for that I’ve been able to have: A chronic condition fixed through surgery A baby A living father It’s great. I love tax.

Taxes fund roads, schools and healthcare things like surgery, cancer treatment and childbirth. Without them I would either be bankrupt or dead! Taxes are great and I am genuinely happy to pay them. Alcohol is basically the BEST thing to tax, since it’s a non-essential purchase.

Watched the Mario movie with Penelope this weekend. It was very pretty! Just beautifully animated with an absolute dogshit plot. There was no character development unless absolutely necessary. Kids are a lot smarter than this movie assumes they are.
