Developer & Linux Addict.
Steam Deck Owner.
Hardware is already there, software needs to keep up.
Digital media should be half the price of physical ones.
@DUSKdev
@AndrewHulshult
I am so excited about it, knowing your work, it's gonna be pretty f'd up and scary. If I need therapy after watching it I'll sue you lol
@reduzio
They're in for a surprise I can't even keep up with, and it hasn't even been a month since 4.2 was released with Wayland support for Linux, acyclic graph, HDDAGI, interactive music support, DX12 API support, GDScript Struct, shadow volume culling, and more coming.
@TimSweeneyEpic
@DUSKdev
@PVNKTHVG
We don't hate you, Tim; we just want you to value open source more, because when you do that, you value the people, and they will add value to your company. Like Gabe says, it's a service problem, not a pricing one.
@carygolomb
bro my steam account got hacked today i had to contact support but i am still waiting for valve to respond, have you ever went through this and what advice can you give me.
@carygolomb
@Francis19110010
That's if we are using FSR, but 40 FPS which be possible with a resolution of 720p which is also supported by the steam deck. The SD has 3.2 TFLOP of FP16 so FSR should work flawlessly, it all depends on the implementation.
@SteamDeckGaming
You could use auto-correction to fix text issues. The problem with AI is that it gives the reader the feeling that there is no emotion being conveyed in the articles, so it sounds bland compared to one that is humanly written. Remember, humans are living creatures.
@sci_fi_stewy
@Killakwabo
It's absurd, just because a person is a superhero doesn't mean he only does super hero activities, have you ever watched the old superman comics, there's a reason they had secret identity.
@ChameleonZG
@Plagman2
optimization is much more needed to squeeze much more performance specially since there's bugfixes which needs to be addressed alongside raytracing not being fully ready, version 3.5 is aiming at a late June release if everything goes well.
@gamingonlinux
@SteamDeckHQ
A lot of people will ignore STASIS: BONE TOTEM, but I think this game deserve the Outstanding Story Rich Awards this year. You guys should play it and do a review of it. I guarantee that you guys won't regret it; the story is refreshing.
@SteamDeckHQ
@gamingonlinux
I like your reviews too but sometimes the game behaves differently when there's a new update and things might improve or worsen. That's why I always wondered why the game version wasn't specified.
@MV_Raffa
One last thing, I am just recommending you upgrade if you're using GDScript only as your main language, but if you're using C++ on the performance-critical part of your game, then you're good. Sorry for the misunderstandings.
@MightofMe
3 Keys Things Godot Needs:
1) Having a compiler for their scripting language
2) Optimizing their API calls
3) Prioritizing one of their language
If they don't, I am sorry to tell you that no fully made 3D game running in Godot in the future will be able to run.
@MightofMe
Some games I played that used GDScript had performance issues where they had to convert most of the code to C++. To this day, some games like Dome Keeper, which is 2D, can't reach 60 FPS on my laptop's iGPU, which is an issue that they need to address.

@Rogue_Co
Quake 1, Quake 2, Grim Dawn, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy, Thronefall, Turbo Golf Racing, Roadwarden, Figment, Bendy and the Dark Revival, and Red Dead Redemption 2 should be verified; the developers have already added Steam Deck support to them.
@XanderXV16
@NathanGDQuest
Your iGPU is comparable to a Nintendo Switch; Godot 4 is more performant than 3.5 or 3.6 in 3D but is just lacking some 2D features that Godot 3 has.
@BoscosDen
@DUSKdev
True, Godot is the only engine that has culling for 2D games, even though 2D games are not that resource intensive. The Godot developers are really optimizing the crap out of the engine.
@KatanaDragon_
This looks more like a cave now, but the voice he shouts when he throws the shuriken isn't very good try to do a voice that is similar to Naruto when he shouts with more vigor.
@carygolomb
Nope it wouldn't work, even the Asus Rog is all marketing, if people really knew how to measure performance, they would wait at least for a 2nm node rated at 15W, the Rog pulls double the power of the deck with limited bandwidth so node and ram is holding us back.
@jitspoe
@Pixel_Dailies
Fist of the Forgotten really fixes a lot of the issues that Limbo and Sonic had; I can tell it was inspired by them.
It's a gorgeous game with some unique mechanics that will stand the test of time.
@QuavoStuntin
Yo, we miss when you used to rap fast back in those days. Bring this style back, man. Don't be too melodic. Congrats on the new album, these songs feel like they came from the soul.
@MV_Raffa
There's nothing wrong with updating the engine, and you won't have to rewrite any code. It also increases battery life. I hope you at least consider Godot 3.6, because this version will bring so many rendering performance improvements and lower CPU overhead.
@carygolomb
Look at my chart on my profile for how much memory you need per teraflop to play most tipple A games. You won't be able to use the gpu's full potential unless there's some advances in lpddr memory bandwidth so they have to sacrifice power for performance.
@devinthewater
I like developers who care about optimization; the gaming world will go crazy to learn that one developer made an AAA-looking game all by himself and in Godot out of all the engines.
@TomFaden
@Games_InHand
The problem is that every technology needs years to mature, i wouldn't buy a device like the Asus Rog Ally unless after 1-2 years, but 90% of people out there have fomo and every year they buy the newest tech and selling the old one ], people won't buy high price second hands.
@MV_Raffa
@DomeKeeper
Yooo, I didn't know you were one of the developers for Dome Keeper. You guys are doing some innovative things in the gaming industry; I can't wait.
@Killakwabo
The problem is that she won't date people her size but want people who aren't her size to be attracted to her, which is a slave owner mindset that I've seen in white woman and that black woman has also started to adopt. People need to date their equivalent.
@endeva_gg
@SheriefFYI
These optimizations relate to reducing visual quality, like shadows, lighting, LOD, and ambient occlusion. If CPU-limited, we will have to reduce the complexity of physics or the number of rigid bodies, aka moving characters on screen, since pathfinding runs on the CPU.
