70,000 objects, of which about 50,000 are automatically generated by e.g. a forest or market.
Made with Canvas of Kings.
I recently published my mapmaking tool, made with:
Godot 4.x, Vulkan, 3D, GDScript only.
I love Godot with GDScript and can only recommend it to everyone! 🙂

I have developed a mapmaking tool. It is not perfect, not complete and most likely has bugs that I have not found even after a long time of testing. But I would be very happy if you try it out.
I am looking forward to your feedback! ☺️

Another approach for my top down tree animation: Instead of a sinusoidal movement I use a noise texture. The side of the tree facing the wind is shifted more and pushed inward.

I have added a land plot to my mapmaking tool 'Canvas of Kings' in the hope that this will make it easier and quicker to create islands.

For my mapmaking tool 'Canvas of Kings' I am working on a way to combine objects and move them together.
It will be released on Steam in two weeks.

You can interact with some objects in the interior of the buildings. You can switch between the floors via stairs. You should also be able to play at the dice table, for example.

You need a gate? You are unhappy with the position? No problem.
Feel free to check out my mapmaking tool 'Canvas of Kings' today! 🙂

To speed up the creation of maps with my mapmaking tool, I implemented the ability to directly create small cottages automatically along a road. 🙂

When you place a forest, existing objects and roads are taken into account. You can also detach individual trees and other objects from the forest.

With my land tool you can combine several land areas, which hopefully gives you even more options when designing your maps.

I tried to animate the water a little. There are caustics, small waves and a movement of the surface. It also has depth.

I am working on a tool that randomly places buildings and decorations in a plot. With this I want to make the game world more varied.

Very often people criticize the amount of assets, especially buildings.
Instead of creating hundreds of individual buildings, I tried to develop a small building tool.
I had a lot of fun (and work) creating this sailing ship. It consists of several textures that are combined in 3D. Other objects such as crates can be freely placed on the deck of the ship.

The inventory is probably one of the most used mechanics in my game, so I wanted to make it as convenient as possible. Besides the tooltip information, I have been working on several features.

I am working on a feature that allows the height of objects, paths and surfaces to be adjusted continuously. It is also possible to customize the environment.
To give you a better idea of the size of the maps: Here's a City. It is not the most beautiful, but that should be enough. 🙃
I have an i5-2500K with a Radeon RX470. The result at 3840x2160px is 60FPS. Thanks to the power of Godot.

The alternation of day and night shows the progress of time. The course of the shadow and the interaction of different colors are influenced by the season.

Buildings such as simple cottages are automatically randomly varied to quickly create more diverse maps. Of course you can adjust position, size and rotation. The smoke stays downwind, of course. 🙂

Instead of placing, scaling and rotating each tree individually, simply place a forest. 🙂
My mapmaking tool 'Canvas of Kings' is available on Steam!

Instead of placing individual separate snow objects, you can simply turn on a snow layer and activate snowfall. (You can also change the wind direction 🙂)
Feel free to try out my mapmaker!

This game is developed with the Godot Engine without using any additional 3D modeling software like Blender. I think the Godot Engine is a very good beginner-friendly alternative to other engines like Unreal or Unity.

Made with Canvas of Kings. And a bit of post-processing to create the vintage style.
