My son used to have a tracheostomy and a machine that would provide heat and humidity to his air supply. When we left the house, we couldn’t take the machine. On these super cold days, I think about how hard it was. He’s been trach-free for 3 years now.

@jsparkblog I told my counselor that one of the best parts of our son’s 8 month NICU stay was the chaplain visits. She was never in a hurry and would sit with me for a while. Thank you.
