The high schools in Pueblo are like me and my brothers when we were kids. We fought with each other all the time, but if someone else wanted to fight one of us, we all banded together. I love it.

George Paton should’ve been canned a year ago. Sean Payton was a bad hire. Russ played well enough to give the Broncos stability at the QB position until you could transition to a franchise player. This franchise is a mess and it’s going to take years to fix.

In the last 10 years, I’ve worked 33 football state title games. The best atmosphere was hands down Kent Denver vs La Junta in La Junta. You could’ve robbed a bank that day and the cops would’ve said, “Ok but it’s 3rd down.” Small school games belong at home sites. #copreps

Kids at Boulder High School should be worried about exams leading into Spring Break and getting physicals turned in to start spring sports on Monday and other school wide activities. They shouldn't be worried about evacuations and reunifications. This is beyond maddening.

Big announcement from the NFHS today. One-and-one free throw situations have been eliminated in high school. Teams will now shoot two FT's for a common foul and team fouls will reset after each quarter. When five team fouls are committed, teams will be in a 2-shot bonus. #copreps

Up there with one of my favorite pictures I’ve ever taken. Prime has told us about the walk to the end zone with Shedeur before the game. Down to the end zone is father and son talking. When they touch the goal line, they become coach/player. This is the moment of transition.

Fun fact: 5A powerhouses ThunderRidge & Cherokee Trail each had players taken in the NFL Draft today for the first time. Little Manitou Springs had someone taken 24 years ago. Little Buena Vista had someone go 7 years ago. But yeah, you only get noticed at big schools. #copreps
