@Redperil6 I am sorry for your trauma. In Psychology there is a phenomenon called "Uncanny Valley" where ambiguous humanoid stimuli can be extremely aversive, rather than reassuringly familiar. A "transwoman" might be even more disturbing to an assaulted woman than an ordinary-looking man.
