@PinkNews As a doctor I can confirm that only females have a cervix. This is important to emphasise especially for trans health, because if you were born a female, regardless of how you identify, you need to have regular cervical smear tests. Stay safe and healthy. xx

For men taking oestrogen and tripping their stomach cramps are a “period”: menstruation is shedding of the lining of the uterus - which you don’t have. There are other hormones involved - which you also don’t have. One has to be female to have a period - you aren’t. See a GP.

As a rape survivor, seeing a man loiter around my bed in a women’s hospital ward nearly cost me my life, as I bolted and nearly died a week later. Thank you from the bottom of my heart 🙏❤️

@MatthewRozsa @Salon I’m a doctor. There are only two sexes. In humans, males have X and Y chromosomes and if healthy, produce sperm. Women have only X and if healthy produce ova. Sperm and egg unite to produce new life. Abnormalities aren’t additional sexes.

Pushing unscientific ideology that "transwomen are women" is transphobia because it erases transwomen as a unique category of human males. Only men can be transwomen and if you were never a male, as current ideology often claims, you were never a transwoman either.

@StudentDocBen I'm a doctor. What have you forgotten about male/female sex binary? Or are you struggling with English? Women are adult human females, otherwise known as humans who do not have a Y chromosome, and DSDs are sex specific. No human in history has changed sex.

If LGB people decided to hold a Pride march tomorrow, to assert their right to be exclusively same-sex attracted without being told it's "bigoted" or "wrong", I fear we would see the same kind of homophobic attacks on them that we used to see when Pride marches were first held.

Two scenarios in which a patient might demand a HCP refer to them as "slut" - a traumatised woman or a male fetishist. In either scenario it is unacceptable. Also, clinicians have no obligation to debase themselves by indulging insulting language.
