Minister says Army could be called in to assist with delays at Dublin airport. If so, members should be paid appropriately for their service. The DAA generates plenty of income, the Defence Forces should not be used as cheap labour when required.

Firefighters from Blanchardstown and Phibsborough worked closely with @IrishRail last night to safely remove a car which entered the train line at Porterstown. Using lifting airbags the car was safely removed causing no damage to the tracks or line side equipment.

The further privatisation agenda of FG by the back door continues. It’s a “clearly hidden in plain sight” action plan that has steadily gained momentum.Let it all run down and then we are told “oh look we need the private contractors”. Am I just a cynic?

@donlav @Michaelkelly707 #249 went on flying way after it was returned off lease.DOD dictated the process & declared they “were satisfied”,there’s your major problem straight away.The 125 went for a song,the Kingairs also,240 broken down.Systematic dismantling of the fleet.DODs long term plan all along.
