Ireland, on schedule, made its latest bailout loan repayment to the UK yesterday: £403,370,000 in principal and £1,344,183.56 in accrued interest. (In December 2010, the UK agreed to provide a bilateral loan of £3.2bn as part of Ireland's bailout.)

This is why EU member states are bound by treaties - “trust is good, law is better”, to quote VDL (and an indication of renewed UK efforts at divide and rule, Frost instructions to devolved admins, Orban etc)

‼️The EU will soon adopt a “code of conduct“ for how 27 should interact with UK. Will force a level of transparency, co-ordination on EU capitals & their dealings with London Unprecedented for EU to do this with a 3rd country. Shows how little 🇪🇺trust there is with 🇬🇧 at moment
