What you are seeing here is a historically preserved parking lot that is empty almost all the time because it is too expensive to park in and right next to a metro stop that you can also see on the left side of this photo. Talk about a persistent policy mistake.

Agree 100%. @DDOTDC has budgeted $9.7 million for simply adding parking to Connecticut Avenue. I hope @charlesallen and @CMFrumin do not allow them to waste this money for adding car storage to make the avenue more dangerous and slow for bus riders, pedestrians, AND drivers.

It's a small step, but really happy that @wmata announced today that starting next week, the L2 bus will operate every 10 minutes again during weekday rush hours! Now if we could only bring the L1 back, @wmataGM we advocated for it last year.

The fact that @DDOTDCDirector still hasn't announced the decision for Connecticut Ave (was due back in August) shows that this recent uptick in @DDOTDC response times is all for short show. His confirmation hearing is in 8 days, and I'll bring this up as exemplifying his tenure.

I am on an affordable housing call and am incredibly disturbed by the repeated pats on the back white people are giving themselves on the increase in Black residents in Ward 3 in the census. Ward 3 is over 80% white, they cannot be serious.

Some key updates from the @DDOTDC meeting with @ANC3C and CPCA. Traffic volume during rush hour is down up up to 33%. DDOT has planned it's projections of traffic based on the yellow line in this graphic but we now have significantly less traffic on Connecticut Avenue.
