Went a wee dander up Ladyside in the Moorfoots. It's the classic mix of sheep farming and grouse shooting.
What did I find, 25km from Edinburgh Castle? ๐งต
Strolling up the road minding my own business and BANG. Gave the lady driver a hug, calmed her down, checked nobody hurt.
Straight into a parked car. Broad daylight. So easily done, so ordinary, so violent.
Slightly surreal experience in Aberdeen. Walking past my parents' first house - the house I was brought back to as a newborn baby - a lady came out and asked if we were there to view it.
Explained that no, but asked for a look. This is me in my first ever bedroom.

I went for a look at the northbound cycle lane on Leith Walk. It's not fully finished, but I don't think this film is an unfair reflection of what it will be.
And what it will be is Toytown rubbish.

It's fine and dandy for a London-based Russian-born financial engineer to own a vast tract of Scotland but unacceptable to build a house there with a hearth.
Not sure we have our priorities straight just now.

I'm unaware of any concrete action to move Scotland towards independence taken since the 18th of September 2014. The nature of the 'best vehicle' for that journey is therefore, in my view, a fair subject for debate and difference of opinion.

The Scottish parliament was specifically designed not to have any effective control over energy policy or hydrocarbon extraction. Anyone with access to the internet should know this.
This is utterly pointless, if not counter-productive.

BREAKING: Plans to launch a new Scotland to Europe ferry have been ditched due to a 'lack of financial support' from the Scottish and UK Government.
Story to follow.
I don't know if this is tragic reality or brilliant fiction and it frankly doesn't matter to me.
The Idiot Son is the new Britannia, the personification of the UK of GB&NI. The lady with the shield is now a half-wit tyre fitter waving Twickenham tickets as French people snigger.

Ours could be a bustling, real city if we wanted it to be.
