I feel so blessed for having the opportunity so few are afforded — the chance to lead my country, and who could ask for a better country to lead than Scotland.
Thank you for all of the kind messages of love & support. I will always strive to serve Scotland in whatever way I can.
Humza Yousaf has been First Minister in the most difficult of circumstances and as such has acted with principle, purpose and a real sense of his values of equality, fairness and justice. He led where others did not on the situation in Gaza. He had and has more to give Scotland.
Humza as dignified & principled today as I’ve always known him to be.
In particular, he can be proud of fearlessly standing with those suffering in Gaza, while other national leaders were shamefully silent.
He has much still to give. For now. I wish him, Nadia & family well.
Who Cares? Scotland welcomes the passing of the Children (Care and Justice) (Scotland) Bill, as it pushes back against the criminalisation of Care Experienced young people and instead emphasises the need for early intervention and support.
Today I was overwhelmingly proud to lead my first Bill through the Scottish Parliament, with the Children (Care and Justice) (Scotland) Bill, which has now passed.
Lots of important discussion at the

In Scotland, when a person is charged with a criminal offence the case becomes ‘active’ in terms of the Contempt of Court Act 1981. This means that any conduct tending to interfere with the course of justice may be treated as a contempt of court, regardless of intent to do so.
