The donor, Anton Postolnikov, was contacted for comment through Paydek, a London-based company he also runs, but gave no reply. Neither did representatives of Ron DeSantis. There is no suggestion that Postolnikov has broken any laws. The donation to Ron DeSantis is public record.

Romania will sign a strategic partnership with Japan. Japanese culture in Bucharest these days is very visible, Romania's capital is more sushi than sarmale in 2023, and there are multiple cinemas and expos showcasing manga. I hope Japanese whisky also becomes widely available.

I am a resilient guy and I've been through more than most in my life but these days I find myself avoiding looking at pictures of Russia's attacks on Ukraine. How is the West, and especially Western Europe, able to just sit idle while this carnage is happening is beyond me. Shame
