To understand just what a boondoggle @GregAbbott_TX 's border wall you need to see it on a map. Abbott installed 1.7 miles of border wall in Starr County west of La Grulla. The wall is 2 mi. from the border in the middle of crop fields. It literally does nothing, and costs $40M.

See ⬇️ and 😭 Texas just published their Medicaid disenrollment #s for 2023 - the state terminated coverage for 1.33 million children. ONE MILLION of these children lost coverage for procedural or red tape reasons -- not b/c of ineligiblity finding.

Last night @BetoORourke spoke at length about TX and its history of oppression to keep Whites in power. He brought up Ft. Bend County, which had a White-only primary until the 1950's. He also asked why we Democrats stay here? His answer was dead on.
