The reason is because Italy before the advent of modern Italian (which evolved from Tuscan) had many different languages (still spoken today) and the hand gesture were the best way for understanding people from another region.

For examples, despite being in the same shade of color on the map, in Milan the 1st person plural ends in "-em", but in Novara (25km away) the verbs end in "-uma". "Let's go" would be "andรจm" there and "andรนma" here.

The Italian spoken by Italia. Americans... That's a whole can of worms! ๐ Especially because *most* of Italians in NORTH America came from SOUTHern Italy, and most of Italian on SOUTH America came from the NORTH.

There also fascinating "islands" of people who migrated during the reinassaince, like a town in Apulia founded by french mercenaries after the war against Charles V of Habsburg, and they still speak a kind of french.

It's a plague in Italy. For The Chronicles of Narnia, someone decided that the egyptian actor Omar Sharif should dub the Lion. In italian, a language he didn't know. It was HILARIOUS.

Then there is Sardinian which is from a completely different branch of the Neo-latin languages, and it's probably the closest one to the actual latin spoken by the ancient Romans.

There are also German people in Sudtirolo (of course) but also in Piedmont, called Walser: they were emigree from Saxony (I might be wrong) who were invited during the middle age to build bridges in the mountains.

In Molise there is a small but proud Croatian community, who crossed the Adriatic during the ottoman invasion, and a Catalan community in Sardinia, the last leftover of the Spanish rule in Italy.

I love the middle age, and among 1000 years of history, I can't fathom spending tens of millions of dollars in recreating the setting just to tell a story between two bostonians arguing about a rape.

She is such a grifter. Reportedly left wing, but hangs out with that rancid ammass of cells called Alex Jones and hates Pope Francis for being too liberal.

The problem is that all the 67 MCU characters have all THE SAME humor. They just flatten the character by making them quip all in the same lazy way.

Anche se non mi piace la loro musica, sono felice per il loro successo e per non aver ceduto a cantare in inglese o spagnolo.

I think you did right by canceling the Starlight movie, despite it being complete and finished.
My uncle who works at Vought told me it was horrible, and the director was a Muslim.

This is like Whoopi Goldberg when she said she didn't care about Holocaust because it did not revolve around black Americans.
