I gave birth to a beautiful boy early Tuesday morning that I thank God for every second since. Our happiness however can’t overshadow the fact that we didn’t share this joy with my husband’s grandmother, aunts, uncles +cousins in Gaza who we could not contact for over a week.

I don’t even know how to write this. Israel dropped leaflets once again in Khan Yunis but got more specific in their demands to leave. Where is our family supposed to go? My husband’s 87 yr old grandmother is forced to leave her home- a home she barely leaves when there is no war

Today a baby on a ventilator in the Al Nasr Children’s Hospital died because the hospital ran out of oxygen. The reality was a baby that could have been saved was killed because of the genocidal campaign against Palestinians in Gaza.

My family group chat in Gaza are advising each other on how to make sure they don’t breathe in the white phosphorous bombs that they believe were dropped near Khan Yunis. The stench is unbearable. “Keep a damp towel near your mouth” .. “close your windows” “don’t rub your eyes”

I submitted this map of my great uncle's hand-drawn map of our village that was ethnically cleansed on of Jimzu on July 9th, 1948. He remembered every detail and house. It was even submitted in a museum in Chicago..that was later taken down due to pressure from Zionist patrons..
