tbf I experienced more direct racism in europe in a summer than I have in the us and I’ve lived below the mason-dixon line almost my entire life

I’ve been to like twenty states, lived on three continents (including europe), been to six european countries and ten countries total be serious 💀
the mason-dixon line spans an entire continent if you didn’t know

one or more of:
-cynical to get elected
-using welfare as a dog whistle
-party dogma
they give up on it and flip flop way too much for it to actually be genuine (though obviously some actually do believe it)
(I am assuming the egypt-menendez ties do not go back before his presidency but I would not be remotely surprised if I was wrong or if he wasn’t directly involved in the gold bar shenanigans at all)

legislature is so heavily gerrymandered dems can win the popular vote by a (relative) landslide and still lose the election by a comically large margin, it’s pretty much the least democratic state in the country
@vanillaopinions
and if anything aren’t the mainstream liberals to blame for walking out right after the DSA took over?
and aren’t they still in control of statewide campaigns under the current agreement?

*the country where trump lost the popular vote twice and trump’s party has lost both houses of congress and almost every competitive election while he was in office
One of the strange things about today's political cleavage around gender rights (and here, intersecting with racism) is how many of the proponents of traditional masculinity do not even follow their ideals. Let's look at how James dresses 🧵
@MoBomba10
tammy murphy is nj gov. phil murphy’s wife and ran as the machine candidate against andy kim (who announced when the menendez scandal happened)
her campaign crashed and burned so hard the county line system that keeps the new jersey machines in power might die
@Shockey_Stan
@MoBomba10
essentially all the county party’s candidates run on a single line on the ballot, which massively benefits incumbents against challengers
who gets the county line is a huge deal and the primaries in nj are largely decided based on who gets put on the line

it’s still true the nhs wait times are just absurd so people with no idea what they’re talking about think the american system is better

Not only was he a rapper but his VA is also friends with THE Pharcyde group, hence why the instrumentation sounds just like their discography

Baltimore has always been a car city. We'll drive 5 minutes to get where we're going. Not sure if that's going to change. The bike and scooter people sometimes act like they own the streets, and this can create hazardous situations.

I’m not saying the us isn’t racist, it definitely is-l to a horrendous degree-but I’ve never been refused service because of my skin color or called a racial slur in the elevator within the same twelve hours anywhere in the us
@VoidOfRoses
imo NFL teams have less leverage now that there’s two LA teams and a Vegas team, the only big markets left atp are san antonio and austin who probably aren’t gonna spend the money on a stadium
"The bill, dubbed the “Safer Kentucky Act,” already has received more than 45 Republican co-sponsors and the Kentucky State Fraternal Order of Police has committed to testify in support of the legislation when it has a committee hearing."

black voters outside of the south aren’t remotely conservative enough and black voters in the south have billions of reasons not to vote republican
black voters are the most liberal group in the dem coalition besides liberal white democrats
