@DrBradJohnson Read to your child, play board games, show them how to do a puzzle. Always shocked by how few kids can do these. Keep a consistent schedule. I can’t teach your kid anything if he’s passed out on the rug during math 2-3 days a week because he’s exhausted. School is important.

@eduleadership I’ve used sick days for dealing with lice on my own child, attending a funeral for a good friends’ 12 year old, and driving my husband to a colonoscopy. MIND. YOUR. BUSINESS. I also spent 12 days in the ICU 2 years ago for diabetes issues I probably could have avoided. So. MYB.

@jonmspangler @gargoylesnest @Cherie_Stabler Disagree. If she’s “really good” she doesn’t need to threaten middle schoolers. She just got hired this week. It wasn’t a one time bad day after a long year, which I could maybe excuse. There is no excuse for this.

Update: we are still shaken/bruised, but we’re recovering. Seatbelts save lives! I can’t express my gratitude to the 1st responders enough, but they were amazing. Hug your loved ones + keep your eyes on the rd. You just never know when someone will turn right in front of you. 😩

Y’all I have a dentist appt next week that requires me to leave school 30 mins before dismissal. Normally not a big deal, an ins. coach would probably cover. She’s at a mtg next week so MY PRINCIPAL offered to cover. Thankful for awesome admin. ❤️❤️ #teacherlife
