Katniss repeatedly talks about not wanting kids because she couldn’t keep them safe, and Gale would be like “what if things were different” and she’d say “they aren’t”. I think by the epilogue, things are VERY different

@proudcyborg @mightbeautistic I’m a very verbally proficient autistic, but I often find I go non-verbal in difficult conversations. I’ve always felt a lot of shame for texting things that should have been done in person, but if it’s in person I will let the other person talk over me and agree or be silent.

Every adhder i know has to work so hard to remember to take those damn things, we’re not fucking “hooked”. Stigmatizing life saving medication is incredibly unhelpful

@iputahexonyou As a fellow autistic, but also a speech therapist, yes and no - it’s more complicated than this. Give “gestalt language processing” a quick search! Most autistic children learn language in whole chunks rather than individual words, which is why scripting is common.

The aforementioned roommates fell in love because in March 2020 roommate 1 moved in with me and a guy from work helped her move in. I had Covid symptoms/presumed Covid, so the doctor told him to stay with us for two weeks before going home. He remains here 3 year later

@morethantracyt It’s also pretty triggering and difficult to be around someone who is starving themselves to look different than you. Rapid/ substantial weight loss usually requires a lot of restricting, fad diets, over exercising etc and now this friend is gonna talk about that constantly.

Great speech therapy, Occuptional Therapy and Physio Therapy (if needed) are much preferred. Sending you love, I know there’s conflicting messaging and you’re doing ur best ❤️
