The original Men in Black film (1997) had PEAK alien design. The creatures all looked like they evolved from something, and the use of practical effects made them feel "real". Too bad the quality of designs decreased in later films.

I loved the #MUTO creatures in #Godzilla (2014). They looked angular, incomprehensible, almost mineral in nature.. Exactly as half-kilometre-tall, alien creatures should. At those sizes you shouldn't expect lifeforms to look like dinosaurs or elephants anymore...

I reconstructed the famous "Krayt Dragon" from the original 1977 #StarWars by focusing only on the skeleton seen in one particular scene (see inset). I interpreted it as a massive, skink-like reptile with eyes nestled in mobile turrets, which help it peer out when buried in sand.

I grew up watching Disney films too, but "Once Upon a Studio" is obnoxiously vain and condescending. It manifests the same narcissistic corporate psycho-pathology as that one Apple ad where Tim Cook talks to "Mother Nature". An attitude too dangerous to be allowed to exist.
