Kinda low-key amazed by the number of folks who are pondering the real world logic of giant robots cycling through multiple modes at once instead of just taking such an awesome moment at face value
Already seeing a little hate for the new "young Optimus Prime"/ Orion Pax design but let's be fair, it's surprisingly close to the '80s cartoon in its way
Looks like there'll be some flashforwards too
All joking aside, this one line of dialogue (delivered perfectly) means more to me than any other human character moment in all the Transformers films. If you’ve ever grieved a parental figure, this scene will likely hit home hard.
The upcoming animated ‘TRANSFORMERS’ movie will tell the origin stories of Optimus Prime and Megatron.
“We really are telling the origin story of all Transformers, what they were at the beginning of it, to how they grow, to how they grow apart”

Anyway, whatever we all think of the Transformers films, one thing that is not up for debate is that Peter Cullen has been a franchise GOAT for almost 40 years and he deserves our eternal respect
Speaking of

2007, this clip is the one where I remember catching my mate's eye in the cinema and both of us just kind of staring at each other open-mouthed bc we couldn't believe what we were seeing on screen
Follow that Pablo formula:
✓ Take the name of a fan-favourite franchise character
✓Look nothing like them
✓ BREAK THE INTERNET
✓ be hated by many but beloved by more
✓ create almost a year's worth of non-stop discourse
✓ barely appear in the actual film
See this
This to me
This is Transformers
It doesn’t all have to be galaxy-spanning, universe-threatening extinction-level events the whole time
Transformers is often at its best on a smaller, more intimate scale
One thing I defo appreciated about RotB was how the Autobots at all times felt like real characters with agency, participating fully in every scene, instead of some past examples where they came off as background cars only called to life when needed to do something by the humans
I just found that not everyone in the TF fandom knows that Arcee's helm is shaped like this to resemble Princess Leia's hair
Which is insane to me, cuz I know next to nothing about Star Wars and somehow was able to immediately put that together
Lots of people in my mentions slagging off Transformers: The Last Knight and that's entirely fair but it did make me want to remind you of the scene where a robot beats up a fish
Having rewatched both

and the 2007 flick again for the first time in years, I’m ready to give my personal ranking of all the live-action

films.
Absolutely not here for all the hot takes on this. It was a solid film met with a lukewarm general response during a busy period but was (largely) well-received by a lot of diehard fans. I remain optimistic for a potential sequel.
