@bylandseaandair It was apparently considered as an option with taser, but I’m not aware of it being considered with firearms. But yes, the tech often lets the officer down. Although sometimes they do just forget, or turn it on incorrectly.

@remmy_308 @Butterknifeopr8 @WoodlandNomad I don’t disagree. For me policing has always been working class. That said, when I see colleagues taking home £80k-£100k with OT it does make me think. I’m also not sure Labour will see this through. Or at least I hope they don’t.

Armed officers are just as approachable as unarmed officers. They’re just more versatile, or at least they could be if there were more of them.
