Ever heard of 1*20 training method? Does the sound of 1 set with 20 reps sound crazy to you?
When I first heard about it I also thought it was crazy. Now it is a staple for all incoming athletes. It can also be great for your older athletes in times of increasing work capacity.
Injury prevention, get rid of the phrase according to 2021 NFL strength coach of the year.

Not every rep in the weight room will be perfect. This was supposed to be a heavy triple. He could not get the third rep.
Is this the end of the world? Nope. Athletes need to be able to try and fail in training in a safe atmosphere.
Just because your athletes are good at their sport doesn't mean they are advanced in the weight room

It's a shame for the athletes at his school that this is why one of the best coaches in S&C left working at universities
But, it also worked out well for the professional athletes he got to work with
Do you feel the same way as Coach Pfaff does about the silos at your school?
Ever notice that sport coaches love to joke around and distract the players during the team pre-practice stretch? It is frustrating that coaches like to distract the players during a time when you are working with them.

Another problem. You can be the most incompetent coach who knows nothing about periodization, speed work, energy system, etc… and STILL get hired cuz you are the HC guy
