I remember in our 3rd year when we started clinical placement a junior Dr told us to always take our breaks as she got kidney stones one year as she hadn't been able to drink while on placement. Med Students have a right to a break and to say no when it is not beneficial 💫

SJT revision going significantly better today. Following patients first, then sorting the issue out yourself with subsequent escalation, doing nothing coming last, seems to be working!

This was a photo from 1st year med school after seeing hand surgery (first op ever!). It was then that I knew I loved surgery. Students defo do benefit from watching surgery, even if it rules it out this is helpful- I also learnt tons from the friendly anaesthetists!!

Med students - aside from being interested and wanting to watch, do you gain much from watching surgeons operate? I would have thought the most useful teaching in the theatre environment comes from anaesthetists, yet we barely get students. Thoughts #MedTwitter ?

The silence from @DHSCgovuk and @sajidjavid is clear. They talk more doctors, but aren't willing to put the money where their mouths are. Fund student doctors now, our funding drops from 10k to 5k in 4/5yr. #LiveableNHSBursary

No need for expensive AFP prep courses- this book by Prof @trishgreenhalgh and also @ollieburtonmed afp course saw me through first AFP interviews!! I did my best and that's all you can do! Fingers crossed for offers day Jan 11th 🤞🤞
