JRUโs John Amores should be banned for life from any Philippine basketball league.
Attempted to attack a fan then proceeded to attack the whole CSB team, punching out three Benilde players.
This hooligan doesnโt deserve any more chances, enough is enough.

Wait for UST's bounce back next season.
Ateneo, UP, FEU, DLSU will all be weaker with star players either graduating or leaving.
Nonoy, Abando, Chabi Yo, Cansino, Concepcion will all be better. They'll be more adept in Ayo's system.
I reckon they'll be title favorites.
Shout out to UP for having a wonderful season but I still donโt get why they had to give up that foul with 12 seconds remaining.
This three off the self-missed freethrow by Harold Alarcon will go down as one of the craziest shots in UAAP Finals history:
New UP recruits:
Maodo Malick Diouf (6'11 Senegalese)
CJ Cansino
Carl Tamayo
Gerry Abadiano
RC Calimag
Joel Cagulangan
Miguel Tan
Are you serious right now?
*Maodo Malick Diouf โฌ๏ธ
Breaking: CJ Cansino is leaving UST.
His next destination is unknown as of the moment.
Guess he couldn't handle playing 4th fiddle behind Abando, Nonoy and Chabi Yo.
Phoenix rookie
@Tyler_Tio
led the Philippine cup in 3-pt shooting with an outstanding 49.1% clip. I bet some teams who let him slide to the second round are slapping their heads in regret.
Less than a week to practice with a full roster. The final 12 werenโt known up until game day. To come up with the Asian games gold is truly a remarkable feat! Tim Cone proves his coaching genius once again. Justin Brownlee finally shuts up his haters!
The biggest losers here are JRU students who will be receiving a lot of hate due to the acts of their players.
Itโs sad and disturbing and the school definitely needs to hand down harsh penalties to its players.
John Amores should be meted a lifetime ban, no questions about it.
Remember when every single person said the Sbp totally neglected preparations for the Asian games due to the World Cup? Truth be told, they did. Practically everyone counted this team out. They defied the odds, exceeded every expectation. So proud of this squad. Laban Pilipinas!
Ateneo repulsed TNT, 103-86, in a tuneup game at the Moro Lorenzo Sports Center.
Dwight Ramos led the Blue Eagles with 22 points.
TNT played without newly acquired Poy Erram & star wingman Roger Pogoy.
Kai Sotto got paid over P11 million ($200,000) for his stint in the recent Fiba World Cup. Jordan Clarkson got over P56 million ($1 million). No hate, just saying.
No disrespect meant whatsoever but I find it humorous that
@pbaconnect
is begging the Japan B. League for โrespectโ when it canโt even respect its own rules and the intelligence of its fans. Letโs stop the hypocrisy and self-entitlement, gentlemen.
John Amores punching UP's Mark Belmonte (twice) back in July.
Todayโs incident isnโt just a one-time occurrence.
Thereโs no place in basketball for this lunatic.

Mad respect to Willy Wilson. Most fans don't appreciate his value but is one of the greatest glue guys in PBA history. One of the real tough guys too.
Enjoy retirement, Willy.
Not really sure what more the commissioner wants Calvin Abueva to do to have his 8 month old suspension lifted.
That's 8 months without salary.
He has done all he can when it comes to social outreach programs.
Maybe defend the Philippine seas vs China?
Let Calvin play.
Terrence Romeo is using a month's worth of his PBA salary to purchase & donate food & medical supplies to five hospitals within Metro Manila.
Awesome job
@tbvromeo
!
Adamson star Jerom Lastimosa is reportedly being offered a base salary of (equivalent to) close to P700,000 a month in the Korean basketball league.
Needless to say, he's a goner.
Imagine how much William Navarro will be making when he makes the jump overseas.
Anyeong!
So the SBP is now blaming Tab Baldwin for the debacles Gilas has suffered when coach Tab had โresignedโ way back in February?
Enough finger pointing in the media / public and instead layout a plan which would put the program in the best place to succeed.
Ginebra super import Justin Brownlee has playing offers from teams from Korea, Japan & China but would choose to stay in the country if he gets signed up by Alab Pilipinas.
Dude really loves the Philippines ๐ต๐ญ
This will 4ever be my favorite Kobe moment.
Hitting 2 freethrows w/ tears in his eyes then walking off the court on his own power on a torn Achilles tendon.
99.9% of humans would have to be carried away right after it ruptures.
Then there's Kobe Bryant.
Val Chauca again to TNT in the fourth round.
WTF just happened?
This dude is gonna make teams pay for passing up on him.
Shouldโve been a late first or early second rounder at worst in my opinion.
Best shooter in the draft.
NLEX reportedly had already allowed
@kieferravena
to play in Japan hence his signing a contract with Shiga. It's the PBA board who is blocking his exit.
Even the richest European clubs agree to buyouts for a player's growth . Who is the PBA that it can't adhere to this practice?
Alaska has no plans to trade (sell for millions) its players like what Tanduay and some others did before relinquishing their franchises.
Adding it will โdo the right thingโ.
No surprises & as expected, Alaska stays classy until the very end.

@coachot
has selected Justin Arana, Javi Gomez De Liano, Shaun Ildefonso, and Gian Mamuyac to be part of the Gilas pool.
Says a lot about these guysโ potential. They certainly have more to show especially when they begin playing in international tournaments.
Iโm deeply saddened by the passing of one of the greatest basketball players the Philippines has ever produced. His career highlights canโt even begin to show how much of an incredible human being he was. Rest In Peace, Samboy Lim.
Itโs crazy how
@jj_redick
isnโt coaching in any capacity yet. Heโs unquestionably one of the brightest basketball minds in the world today โ and my favorite analyst to listen to.
Kai Sotto needing a lot of money to play for Gilas is somewhat disappointing especially with him being a pure-blooded Filipino.
Representing flag and country in basketball's biggest stage should already be an honor in itself.
When the Gilas final 12 roster was released, some were complaining of "overkill", this being just the
#SEAGames
.
The same people who complain endlessly when we lose to other countries.
No such thing as overkill in sports.
Demolishing the competition should always be the goal!
Thirdy Ravena to suit up for Mighty Sports in the 31st Dubai International Basketball Championship tournament.
Other members of the squad are:
Andray Blatche
Kai Sotto
Dave Ildefonso
Juan Gomez De Liano
Javi Gomez De Liano
Jamie Malonzo
Mikey Williams
Beau Belga
The most unfortunate thing about the Fajardo tibia fracture is that it was a non-contact injury.
All alone on a fastbreak play during practice & then it breaks.
Most leg fractures occur after traumatic incidents, not when one is running by himself.
Speedy recovery, MVP.

@Tyler_Tio
aka โTionami papiโ put on the afterburners for this gorgeous side-step finish; and followed it up with a 3-pointer.
Ride the Tionami wave ๐
Obviously a very disappointing stint for Gilas here in the World Cup. I hate to sound negative but imho the lack of preparation, the lack of lights out 3-point shooters, and probably the wrong kind of system being implemented were all detrimental to our campaign.
Stockton with the ninja moves (got called for a flagrant). Lol.
Wish Converge showed more fight in the game. Going down the wire for them.
Gotta love how
@Tyler_Tio
just smiled through it all. Phoenix got itself a terrific player and a special dude.
What some fans don't understand is being 7-feet comes w/ its limitations.
You don't have the same mobility as w/ smaller men, which obviously isn't his fault.
Greg works hard on his craft & dedicated his heart & soul to Ginebra only to feel unwanted & criticized stings bad.
Sadly enough, this is Gilas๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ first loss to Japan in 12 years.
After the Sea Games debacle, changes are clearly in order; and of course a (much) longer training period.
Hate to bring this up but under coach Tab, an all-collegiate squad was giving teams like Serbia fits.
