@ChrisMurphyCT Consumption is not the same as buying. Poor consume things faster due to planned obsolescence. Wealthy can buy things that are not consumed as quickly. Thus, they are taxed less often. Whereas the people who consume faster (the backbone of our economy) are taxed more often.

@mchooyah 1/2 What I find interesting about your stance is you once took threats to national security seriously. Sure, this isn't quite like going after Bin Laden, but it is a threat. And, such an easy thing to do to help rid ourselves of the threat. Yet, it's seen as so divisive?

@PramilaJayapal @All435Reps Wall Street told him his company was worth billions & he shrugged in disbelief. FOMOs ran the value up last year, he expressed his shock. It's all based on bloated valuations. He knows it, I know it, and you sure as hell know it. So, he sells to pay taxes. Still not happy.

I genuinely want to know your opinion: Our system is dying and I see 2 options: 1. Hard reset, crashing values (ouch). 2. Exponentially increase money creation to invest in advancing technology that will ultimately end the need for money as we know it. Is there a third option?

@ArmandDoma Alaska. Easy to defend borders, no shortage of firearms, used to living in extreme conditions, and a significant number of residents are ex-cons in hiding.

@netcapgirl Everyone has talent. Not all talents are able to be monetized. Plus, the system is set up so that not everyone can be monetarily wealthy. If every person in the US had $1M, we would be $330T in debt.

@mrexits What most people don't understand is Google has a significant competitor to ChatGPT it hasn't released. PaLM has triple the parameters. Not to mention Google's Time Crystals & Quantum Computing projects.

@unusual_whales Costs not covered by state revenue (most of it) will have to be covered by federal aid, adding to the total US debt. Adds layers of complexity to an already complex issue. Just make healthcare free across the board. A healthy population is far more productive.

@Jason Save them. If it's been a full day since mom has been seen, there's something going on. Don't want to risk waiting and her never showing back up. You can always reunite if she comes back.

@clrobertstad @Rainmaker1973 The vast majority of infants are not gestated in ideal conditions, triggering various epigenetic consequences. Maternal stress, environmental factors, etc. This could actually give us the ability to simulate a near-perfect gestational environment.

Was the switch to fiat currency the catalyst for tech advancement, ending the stagnancy for so much of human history? There are many theories on why tech accelerated in the last century. I am convinced that fiat was the catalyst (though not without its own troubles).
