Career wise (ie family stuff excepted) this is the happiest I've been since Rattlesnakes charted at #13 in 1984 or was it #14 ? This record took a lot out of me. I'm happy it seems to be doing what I hoped it would do.

In July 2019 our guitarist Keith Mullin was diagnosed with Laryngeal Cancer. After three operations (within a 10 week period) laser treatment and removing his left vocal cord his tests are now clear, and cancer free. He is now on the road to recovery thanks to our wonderful NHS.

We mixed the album at Martin Rushent's Genetic Studios in Berkshire. The Sisters of Mercy were recording there. Eldrich was hilarious. He slept all day on the couch and only sang at night. The rest of the band played tennis against us in tight jeans & Cuban heels & beat us.

When we bought our house, 18 years ago, there were no animals at all in the garden. Thanks to the previous owners’ pesticide. Now we have squirrels, chipmunks, skunks, occasional possums and foxes and these guys who love to feed on the weeds that now grow in our lawn.

Maybe the game is different now, but I'm sure I'm not the only Englishman (1/4 Welsh) who grew up in the 1970's who has no problem with Scotland, Ireland, Wales, France or any other team beating our Rugger toffs.
