The treatment for an ectopic pregnancy is abortion. The treatment for an incomplete miscarriage is abortion. People pretending that they're somehow something else, a "prettier" word, and not at all impacted by abortion laws are very very wrong. Abortion is healthcare.

As someone who (wrongly) spent two years of my childhood thinking I gave my grandfather the pneumonia that killed him, I feel like I should write up something about the experience of thinking you were the disease vector that killed a loved one. Folks need to take this seriously.

There's a misconception that actors doing ANY work right now is scabbing. That is false, and SAG-AFTRA is in fact encouraging its members to take work that falls under other contracts. Similarly, WGA members can still write comics, as that work isn't covered by a union contract.

The strike’s in regards to the TV/Theatrical SAG contract. We’ve ceased all work covered by this contract. TTRPGs aren’t under TV/Theatrical contract. Asking folks not to do them is like asking stage theatre to shut down when their agreement is not under negotiation here at all.
