Hard to express my joy and gratitude right now as I completed my Philosophy, Politics and Economics degree at Oxford. I don’t know what’s ahead. For now, it will be Netflix, reading and sleep. 😴
Today marks a precious day in my life.
Asser and I tied the knot to be partners for life. We celebrated a small nikkah ceremony at home in Birmingham with our families. Please send us your prayers. We are excited to walk together for the journey ahead.

I’m horrified to see the bombing of al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza and unequivocally condemn it. I urge the Israeli government to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza and reiterate the call for a ceasefire. I am directing $300K to three charities helping Palestinian people under attack.
We watch in complete shock as Taliban takes control of Afghanistan. I am deeply worried about women, minorities and human rights advocates. Global, regional and local powers must call for an immediate ceasefire, provide urgent humanitarian aid and protect refugees and civilians.
Three years ago, 132 students were brutally killed at the Army Public School Peshawar. I think of them today and everyday.
No child should face extremism and violence. No child should go to school in fear.
Every child deserves safe education.
The words Anne Frank wrote in this room still remind us to cherish and defend human rights.
Today, I am thinking of Palestinian and Rohingya children- and all around the world still struggling to achieve Anne’s dream of freedom.

Proud to announce we're investing in girls' education in Brazil. More than 1.5 million girls are out of school in this country - and they deserve the chance to choose their own future.
Malala Fund is bringing our fight for girls’ education to Brazil — where more than 1.5m girls are out of school due to poverty, racism and violence. And, indigenous and Afro-Brazilian girls miss out most.
I’m sorry to hear about your loss,

. I know Dipper was a very good boy. I’ve gotten over my fear of dogs and I hope you’ll have me back to meet your next pup ❤️🐶
I know the power that a young girl carries in her heart when she has a vision and a mission – and I hope that every girl who sees this cover will know that she can change the world. Thank you

I stand with the Black community's fight for justice for Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd and many, many others before them. We cannot accept injustice at any cost.

“College is forcing us to choose between studies and the hijab”.
Refusing to let girls go to school in their hijabs is horrifying. Objectification of women persists — for wearing less or more. Indian leaders must stop the marginalisation of Muslim women.
Sending my deepest condolences and prayers to Shinzo Abe's family, friends, colleagues and the Japanese people. I am shocked and saddened by his assassination. I will always remember his hospitality, kindness and personal support for girls' education and equality.
We will not accept a world where decisions about our future are made in rooms we cannot enter. Congratulations to all the young leaders participating in

Heartbroken to hear about Zainab - a 7 year old child abused and brutally killed in Kasur, Pakistan. This has to stop. Gov and the concerned authorities must take action.

History tells us that wars cause irreversible and unimaginable loss. Civilians are killed; homes, schools and places of worship destroyed. People need peace, stability and dignity more than anything else. Russia must stop the attack on Ukraine immediately.
Children and schools should never be targets. This isn’t a matter of opinion — it’s international law.
I continue my call for a ceasefire. The Israeli government must end these indiscriminate attacks that have cost thousands of innocent Palestinian children and families their…

The violence in Jerusalem – especially against children – is unbearable. This long conflict has cost many children their lives and their futures. Leaders must act immediately – there is no peace when children and civilians are not safe.

Over the past two days, 37 Palestinian children have been injured and arrested in East Jerusalem.
All children should be protected from violence and kept out of harm’s way at all times.

for using your voice, speaking truth to power — and encouraging other young people to do the same. 💕
I had one hope for today: that Afghan girls walking to school would not be sent back home. But the Taliban did not keep their promise. They will keep finding excuses to stop girls from learning – because they are afraid of educated girls and empowered women.

#WeAreDisplaced
is a collection of stories from refugee girls around the world - harrowing journeys, lost loved ones and longing for home. It shows readers the real lives behind the statistics, news reports & rhetoric we hear every day.
To the young women of Iran who are in the streets to demand freedom and safety: You are already changing the world with your courage.
To everyone else: Share their stories to help keep this movement alive.

When I was younger, adults would ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up. At first, I would say a doctor. Then prime minister. Then, I just focused on getting into university & deciding what to study. Today, like a lot of young people, I’m not sure what my career path will be.
Meghan and I are on the same page: we both believe that when girls have access to education, everyone wins. Thank you so much to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex for sitting down with me to have an important conversation about the future of our world. ♥️
