Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-VA) goes off on Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) during USPS oversight hearing:
“I didn’t vote to overturn an election. And I will not be lectured by people who did about partisanship.”
Mike Johnson is the most ideological, right-wing Speaker since the 1830s. His views and values are directly antithetical to mine. He stands for everything we, as freedom-loving Democrats, proudly stand against.
I will never vote to keep him in that chair.
In our FAA bill, the House voted against adding any new flights to DCA – the busiest runway in the country. That is the bill I voted for, and that is the bill the Senate should take up.
This is about safety. I am a NO on today’s extension.
Congresswoman Wexton, you are showing the world what true courage and determination look like. Keep fighting. You are an inspiration to me and to millions of Americans across our nation.
Today, with the assistance of voice to text tech due to my PSP, I spoke on the House floor in favor of my bill to rename the Purcellville post office in honor of Madeleine Albright.
Sec. Albright was a trailblazer & inspiration to countless women in public service, including me.
Today, the House passed my bill to require the Postal Service to collect, track, and publicly report information about crashes involving its trucking contractors.
Dozens of people have died in these accidents. Their families deserve so much better.
It's Public Service Recognition Week! I just introduced my yearly resolution honoring America's public servants, including our dedicated federal employees.
Thank you for all you do in service to our country!
On Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day, we remember and honor the millions of lives lost to the Holocaust. And we recommit ourselves to fighting and preventing antisemitism, wherever and whenever we may find it.
I am a child of the 1960s. I protested the war as a student. I rallied and marched for civil rights. I was a draft counselor. I believe protest is a God-given, American right that must be resepected so long as the rights of others are also respected and the law is not broken.
I’m proud to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Rev. Dr. Vernon C. Walton as Pastor of First Baptist Church of Vienna. Pastor Walton continues to be a true servant to our communities and abroad through his active leadership.
Northern Virginia Family Service has been an incredible support system and resource for our communities, and I’m glad to celebrate a century of service with them! Congratulations
@NVFS
and cheers to 100 more years!
An invasion of Rafah would be catastrophic.
I joined
@RepJayapal
,
@RepDean
, and more than 50 of our colleagues to urge the Administration to use all tools possible to dissuade the Israeli government from moving forward with the Rafah offensive.
This is fantastic news. DACA recipients are taxpayers like you and me. There is no reason they should be denied the option of getting health care coverage through the ACA.
My colleagues and I urged President Biden to do this last year. Thankful to him for making it happen.
More than 100,000 young immigrants protected by DACA will soon become eligible to receive federal healthcare coverage for the first time since the program was implemented over a decade ago.
Congratulations to Fairfax County's own Laura Senturia, the Washington Post's 2024 Teacher of the Year!
Laura, you are an inspiration to so many. Thank you for your dedication to our students and congratulations!
Funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the EPA just announced $3 billion to identify and replace lead pipes, including $50 million for VA alone.
There are more than 9 million lead service lines across the nation. This investment brings us closer to replacing 100% of them.
