I’m proud to join @kctenants and @QuintonLucasKC to move policy that will improve the lives of veterans, students, seniors, and families with vouchers. This legislation will ensure that regardless of who you are and what your income is you have a home in Kansas City.

KCMO is designing much-needed improvements to how the Trolley Track Trail goes through the Brookside parking lots, and how it crosses both 63rd Street & Meyer Blvd. Check out the design options & add your input before Aug. 18th.

Happy this committee sub passed unanimously today. As I stated today, I believe this is an opportunity to reimagine what our bus system looks like with those who rely on it most. Our residents deserve a premier public transit system that’s quick, reliable, and exciting to use!

Won't be able to make it to TIO Committee this morning, but will be watching for updates on Ordinance 230446. If adopted, this would send a #transit sales tax renewal to #KCMO voters this November. 🧵(1/4)

A community should be judged by how well they treat their most vulnerable neighbors. The people of Kansas City deserve better. This landlord was held accountable as a direct result of the love these neighbors have for one another and the organizing done by @KCTenants .

Going on days without heat, immigrant families in northeast Kansas City say they’ve been subject to break-ins, leaks, and other maintenance issues. Windows and doors are boarded up along the property.

Started this morning with @ForTheNorthland who was good enough to show me around the 1st District! There are many similar struggles in the Northland that we experience down South so I’m looking forward to tackling those together.

It’s bad policy to incentivize development that is in direct competition with our own interests. $5.5 million of public dollars would subsidize improvements for a private parking lot that is direct competition with the airport’s. Read that again and try to make it make sense… /7

Yesterday neighbors left their homes to come together and vision a Kansas City where we can thrive, not just survive. A better Kansas City is possible if we work together to win the City we deserve. I believe we will win!
