Our Deputy Chief Fire Officer, Steve Apter will be retiring in June 2021, after more than 30 years’ service.
Steve has been instrumental in both Hampshire and the Isle of Wight’s success and he will be sorely missed by staff across both services.

UK ISAR are sending an emergency response team to the Republic of Türkiye to assist rescue efforts following the devastating effects of the recent Earthquake which took place Mon 6th February 23. A Heavy Team of 77 UK ISAR team members will support the Search and Rescue mission.

Fire Dog Ruby was hit by a careless cyclist in a park this morning. The person involved afterwards moved her aside with their foot and cycled away. Ruby is now at the vets but will recover. Please take when cycling in shared areas.

🚒 Firefighters rescued a number of puppies from a house in Church Crookham after a heat lamp sparked a fire in the early hours of this morning.
The family were treated for smoke inhalation as the dogs were taken to a local vet surgery.
