When I read the manga , my main highlight of this arc was the unbelievable char development of thorfinn. The anime did justice to that. But the anime did so much more justice to the rest of the story that this great char development is overshadowed by that peak direction tbh.

River really is my favourite opening of the year. There might have been many songs during the year that were way more hype or good but none of them made me feel what River did. It was surreal seeing Farmland animated , so its really just personal , nothing too deep about it.

Chapter 191 of Vinland Saga is my personal favourite moment of the entire series ( also possibly animanga ) and I already think that it will easily be topped in the next few chapters of the final arc considering what has happened and is happening. Crazy.

People might say they enjoyed farmland saga but if they say they didn't enjoy those first 8 episodes ( almost everyone enjoyed it from ep 9 ) or considered them a slog to get through then I won't consider them understanding the arc enough.
