Man I really wanna read/watch Vinland Saga for the first time again. When you don't know a series is gonna be good and you just start it out of curiosity , it becomes the best experience of your life. You don't expect anything from that series but it gives you everything.
And i dont know if it's cliche or naive to say that but it really is a series that I took from much more than just mere enjoyment. It has indeed impacted me on who I am today. What you consume as a media indeed has a lasting effect on you , if you understand it that is.
@Tenjini1
There may subjectively be many better manga out there but for me , none. I enjoy them but if it has violence then it just affects my enjoyment now šš. For example I started the last Kingdom series but couldn't watch it past S1 because it was very violent though very good too.
@Fridrr
I started the anime few weeks ago and now I am all caught up to S2, I wasn't expecting anything tbh when I started but then ep after ep I started to get attached to the characters and crying my eyes out and I just love it, I think I'll read the manga once S2 is over š
@Fridrr
I agree, initially I thought Vinland saga is a mediocre viking/medieval era anime, but I was wrong....and amazed how good the story telling + the characters is
Seeing many anime onlies reply to this tweet and saying how they enjoyed it so much made my day. I'm glad there's this side to the anime original fandom as well and not like the ones who support ketil or doesn't enjoy farmland.
@Fridrr
I read the manga for the 1st time back in 2019 when S1 was airing, and i re-read it many times since then and it's even better on re-read, because you pay attention to the little details or to things that you did not on your first read, at least that's what i did. It is damn good
@Fridrr
Vinland Saga has taught me so much! I wish I could feel the feelings I had back then when Thorfinn became a slave and changed. It was first time for me to see a MC take a different path
@MDotchii
True. Even though i enjoyed the prologue a lot and even gave it a 10/10 ,farmland was the arc that made me in love with this series. Never thought a story can also be told in such a manner.never thought a story about pacifism can be this impactful considering its in Viking period
@Fridrr
Vinland Saga and Berserk are two series that literally changed my life. I'll die peacefully knowing I'm atleast half the person that both Guts and Thorfinn are.
@Fridrr
It was honestly an amazing experience and has continued to be. I started the anime because it seemed cool and then when I found out that S1 was only the prologue I just HAD to get on the manga and binged to 178or so Iām about a week. Amazing story & art
