Brooklyn Public Library has launched the Books UnBanned initiative which allows anyone across the country between the ages of 13 and 21 to get a free eCard from BPL to use to access 350,000 ebooks and 200,000 audiobooks, and multiple databases. #library

Just remember, libraries have tens of thousands of books and you are allowed to CHOOSE whichever book you think is right for you and your family. The books theyโ€™re using to turn Americans against librarians represent less than 1% of 1% of 1% of a library collection.

Book banning is not a widespread movement of concerned parents. Most often just one or two activists believe they should decide which books the whole community is allowed to read. Theyโ€™re often not even parents, nor do they live in the community.

Remember, the fact that book banning groups freely admit to not reading the books proves, with perfect certainty, that they do not care about the content of the books. This is a fundraising grift and a tool to get their candidates elected. They do not care about you or books.

If you're AGAINST book bans, you ARE on the side of parents. Around 70% of parents fully disagree with book bans. When given the opportunity, less than 1% of parents opt-out of school books. 90% of bans are initiated by only 1 or 2 community members.
