First it was "there aren't any chargers, I'm not going electric" Then it was "I don't like all the apps" Now its "there's too many EVs, chargers are too busy" I've never queued for a charger and only use chargers that are easy to use. One tap of a card and we're charging

Dissapointed at the Panarama EV program Designed from the start to be negative Show someone who's never driven an EV, drive 1000 miles visiting some chargers he wont get working quickly, on purpose 1% usage example by a complete novice setup to fail🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Just received my monthly @OctopusEnergy bill £52.38 incl standing charge £1.69 per day Just 3.9kwh of peak rate 40p per kwh I'd love this to be zero but 0.125 per day isn't bad 522kwh off peak 7.5p per kwh Very happy when this is for ALL our energy needs including EVs #Nogas

Another poor soul duped by Toyota. Happy in the hybrid getting 50mpg yet lots of petrol only cars get 50+mpg 33% of his journey was on electric which means the real mpg before battery power is more like 35mpg (its charging the battery)🤦‍♂️ Don't be duped, go full EV

Public EV charging is expensive right? Just back from a 420 mile trip which cost £20.37 public charging Much cheaper that even a 70mpg diesel which would've used 27 litres at say £1.75=£47.25 Could've saved another £5 if I'd embraced the turtle @KateFantom @ecocars1

My first charge to 💯 on solar alone & first 300ml+ range shown since car was new. 18% added to the Kona, 3kw into hot water & a roast & all we've used is 1kWh from the grid (13p!) half of which was used pre 7am. I should have done this years ago, it's so much better.

I was at my Hyundai dealer today. Sales enquiries for EVs are up 40% in the last 2 months it seems. There are daily enquiries for electric cars, whereas before the Kona they were few and far between. Something's changing & it's picking up momentum as each new EV is launched

That's 84kwh exported in 2 days and over 100kwh generated. Wonder how many homes I powered with my little solar power station 8-10? If only more homes added solar we'd burn a lot less fossil fuels

210 mls in the Kona yesterday & still had 77 left (GoM) Didn't charge overnight & with Ice on the screen, did another 42 miles this morning. 36 miles left (GoM). 288mile genuine range in Feb! Off out again now, not needing a charge with 13% left. Perhaps it's self charging?

Just uploading my test data to YouTube but I'm happy to report absolutely no degradation to my Kona's battery. None. 386.5 miles driven on one charge with 1%, 2 miles remaining 85.2 kWh consumed, 21.9kwh of Regen, 63.3 kWh net used. To think EVs are just going to get better!

Working on my solar update & noticed this stat from @myenergiuk Zappi Since going EV 3 yrs ago I've added 4060 kwhs via my Zappi 4 megawatt hours! (Instead of 325 gallons of diesel) 73% was solar power 27% was mostly cheap energy overnight or solar energy stored in a battery

Looks like a day of records today. Almost 20kWh added to my Kona from my Solar PV and @myenergiuk #Zappi and there's a couple of hours to go. Added 100 miles of range so far, for free! I still marvel at how I can go for a drive then replenish the energy used for free.

Octopus energy heat pump survey booked for end of the month. Told between £3k and £7k after the £5k grant. They're using Daikin heat pumps apparently. As mid Aircon install planning, timing couldn't have been better 😬🤷‍♂️🤯

Interesting to see out of 100 cars queuing for the Steam festival, celebrating steam engines only 1 EV amongst them!! A lonely Volvo C30 in a sea of idling diesels and petrol off to see the previous generation of engines Wonder if we'll see a festival of diesel one day 🤔

I absolutely ♥ our heating system That's weird right? Whacking the boiler on and being warm meant nothing before and we had only negative thoughts about the gallons of oil used We're so much more appreciative of our A2A system and its greener/ lower cost energy source

The grid will never cope 😬🤯💩 UK electricity consumption is actually down year on year! Down 60 terrawatt hours since 2008.
