Our oldest MG5 has just gone through 100,000 miles at 2 years old. That’s equivalent to 14 years of average uk use. Average efficiency of 4.1 miles/kWh or 198.8mpg and the traction battery is at 94% SOH. Not bad for a cheap Chinese EV.

@ArgyleBecky I drink whilst working, I need to stay hydrated. He may have been out there for hours, and if he hadn't, where's the issue exactly? There are much more pressing issues to tweet about, those being much more important than a copper having a brew whilst at work.

A long day in the MG5, right off the back of 2 weeks and 2000 miles around Scotland. 343 miles covered, 4.5hrs working, 3 hours at home and 2 charge stops. As normal, nothing to talk about. Unless of course, you’re the @BBC @DailyMailUK or one of the other completely out of touch

If you're an automaker and this car doesn't worry you, it really should. The MG4 has very few shortcomings and many positives, one being the 'bang for buck' factor that has been artificially removed by many other manufacturers. I really can't wait for ours to land 👌🏻

I'm as excited about the new MG4 as we were about our first Nissan Leaf. Here's the thing. The top spec MG4 is £1500 cheaper, goes 280 miles further, charges at 80kW's faster, has 4 years more warranty and loads more features. Good times ahead.

We’ve purchased another MG5 for the mobile service. This one is destined for the south coast. The reasons. - Purchase costs are cheaper than an equivalent petrol or diesel, although prices are creeping back up again. - reliability - efficiency - time off the road for

Below are 2 pictures. The first is the cost to run a diesel vehicle, averaging 50mpg, (above UK average) over 150,000 miles. This is taken from the linked website below. The second is our annual charging cost (home and public) taken from Quickbooks. This is to run 3 electric

Surely this should have be scrapped by now?? This @Tesla Model 3 that we regularly service has covered 175,000+ miles in 3 years. It’s had brakes pads and discs, tyres and a few suspension components, but nothing else. It’s almost like the batteries don’t fail every 3 years 🤷🏻‍♂️

Our 60000 mile Tesla still charges at its max of 120kWs, it's battery hasn't gone to landfill and it easily hits 220 miles from a charge, which, normally costs under £4 at home or is free on the @Tesla supercharger network. Think EVs are unreliable, think again 👍🏻

I was asked on the radio this morning how I felt about @RishiSunak ’s backbone collapsing. 2030/2035/2040, it doesn’t have much effect. The ban until yesterday was still over 6 years away, but EV sales were still rapidly increasing, both new, and more recently, second hand.

Here's a regular customer of ours, a very high mileage user, now at 121,000 miles. Traction battery at 94% SOH, it's literally had tyres, pollen filters and wiper blades. Nissan seem to have improved their battery chemistry further with the 62kWh Leaf. #nolandfill

The recent winter weather means it's costing us more to run our electric cars. Normally we pay 1.8p/mile, but in these temperatures that's increased 2.2p/mile. Sod that, I'm getting a diesel 😳

@LeeHurstComic Nah. ICE cars are more expensive to run, maintain and now, in most cases, they're more expensive to buy. We have 6 EV service vehicles running around the UK, they save us an absolute fortune. Stick to comedy

When we see a post telling us how it's more environmentally friendly to keep a 1993, 4L, petrol, RR on the road over buying an EV, we're going to question it. It seems that when questioned on this the OP had no facts, wasn't interested in the facts and subsequently folded like

If Britain switches all cars to electric, it may actually increase emissions. An EV has to travel 50,000+ miles to break even with an ICE car. That number is growing, not shrinking. But batteries last about 60,000 miles.
