Controversial opinion:
Therapy is overrated.
My friends in years of therapy seem to be the least happy…
Isn't it in the therapist’s best interest to convince you that you are troubled so you keep coming weekly and pay for years to come…?
At $250/session that's $13k/year.
One of my friends saved a bunch of money and quit working for 9 months hanging out in Thailand and other cheap places

Learning about fentanyl years ago made me realize drugs are actually unironically dangerous now
At first I was like "whatever, it's not like I use enough to overdose even if there is some in my drugs."

Raising a child in the US seems hellish compared to India.
US—Wake up early, cook, drive kid to work, both parents work, do groceries, chores, cleaning. Lonely.
India—Maid cleans, driver drops you, groceries in 15mins, cook cooks, parents babysit. Community.

> The person most likely to kill any woman is her current or former partner
men and women die by the hand of an intimate partner at surprisingly similar per capita rates. the unique thing about women is that no one else kills them.
@DeSkereStudent
All men are “potential abusers.” The person most likely to kill any woman is her current or former partner; domestic abuse affects roughly 1 in 4 women (England & Wales). Most abusers wait until their partners are secure in the relationship before beginning the abuse.
