Twitter is the de facto outlet for my thoughts.
It's not easy for a lurker to know the ethos of one's tweets at a glance. They only see recent ones.
I used the API to scrape all my tweets to allow readers to scan through the most popular ones!
This is shocking.
Facebook gave Netflix all your private messages on Messenger in exchange for all your watch history, while Netflix paid them $100M+ for ads.
Meta will sell your data at a heartbeat for profit.
If you’re not from India and you ever meet someone from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) who studied Computer Science, know that they took an examination that ~1,000,000 students spent 4 years preparing for and were (likely) in the top 300.
They’re geniuses.
If you graduated in 2013 and took a job at Nvidia with $400K equity over 4yrs, just that equity (no refreshers) would now be worth...

This is not a joke. The stock ~250x'd in 11yrs.
Parents getting old when most kids in their late 20s/30s live far away from them grinding at work is such a social tragedy that we don’t talk about enough

Tech layoffs affect immigrants the most!
5–15% of the 100k+ layoffs are H-1B holders.

10+ tips to stay–

I lived in India for a year and it is SO MUCH HARDER to be fit–
- Gyms are expensive / inaccessible
- Harder to walk / run on streets + lower quality air
- Difficult to find healthy food
- Few social options without food+drinks
Most high-income Indians aren't very fit.
Man builds ChatGPT wrapper that just helps people respond to texts on dating apps.
Charges $28/mo, makes $2.3M/yr and the business is selling for $3.5M.
Engineers worry about technical moat and venture outcomes instead of building something users want!
Raising a child in the US seems hellish compared to India.
US—Wake up early, cook, drive kid to work, both parents work, do groceries, chores, cleaning. Lonely.
India—Maid cleans, driver drops you, groceries in 15mins, cook cooks, parents babysit. Community.

Amazon in 2018
For Meta, the ends always justify the means.
Only 0.3% of Indians go to the gym.
— Streets not built for walking, and air quality is low
— Most food is unhealthy: fried, processed, low protein
— Social events are centered around food and drink
— Culturally, "life" > fitness
This drastically reduces our lifespan.
