My current ward uses a disused toilet room as the junior doctor office and if that doesn’t sum up how we value doctors I don’t know what does. 🚽

As a newly qualified doctor who’s still finding her feet, it means so much when a senior puts in the time to build that rapport with you and listens to you. It makes me enjoy working even more. It’s priceless and makes me feel well supported.

Doctors need to be less apologetic in making sure that medical trainees are prioritised for training. Don’t de-prioritise their training needs under the hashtag of #OneTeam Cos that team includes the trainees. To me? They come first And there’s nothing wrong in saying that

Currently in GP land. It does make me sad how every person keeps telling me it’s a better career choice for me “when you have kids”. Wish there wasn’t this attitude about a dichotomy between GP and hospital specialities and which one is ‘better’.
