If you have sex and take a pregnancy test the next day and its negative, that doesn’t mean you aren’t pregnant. It means it’s too early for the test to DETECT it. Same concept with a negative COVID test. You have to continue to use precautions!

Because I’m rusty and ICU is not my specialty, I was mostly what we call a “buddy nurse”- help with meds, glucoses, foleys, IVs, proning, etc. The high volume of patients and high acuity calls for this type of team nursing approach.

If it needs to be reiterated- all 3 of my kids wear masks without issue. Oldest is 7, twins are 4. It’s an easy, safe, mitigation strategy. When able to, they’ll be vaccinated. I’m not a kid expert, I’m just a mom. Parenting is hard, pandemic parenting is extra hard.
