Took my daughter well over an hour to get home every time she got the bus from Altrincham to sale along #A56 this week. But there’s no cycle lane so what could be causing this? If there was a segregated cycle lane and facilities at school could be a 25 min journey

Stopped cycling to work a while ago because family too worried. Over weekend I tried out new pop up cycle lane along #A56 installed by @TraffordCouncil @OneTrafford . Felt very safe. Nearly all segregated cycle lane. Will definitely be getting back on bike when back in office!

The teachers I know have not been on holiday since March. They’ve been working hard, adapting to new ways of teaching, zoom lessons, zoom one to one calls, setting and marking work, going into school some days and preparing for return of kids when safe to do so. @NEUnion

We narrowly escaped serious flooding in parts of #Trafford last night. I know a lot of council workers and leaders have been working into the small hours and overnight @TraffordCouncil @OneTrafford to keep residents safe for which they deserve huge thanks. So thank you!

Last year, @unitedutilities discharged sewage at 18 sites in #Altrincham & #SaleWest . Duration of discharges 2889 hrs (4 months) on average 2.2 times/day. Incl waterways like Bollin, Timperley and Sinderland Brooks and MSC. Plus 80 dumps into the Mersey from the Stretford side.

I remember the poll tax non payment campaign. Thousands ended up with convictions. No help for people to avoid this. Likewise no help here to avoid credit scores being affected, bailiffs coming round, supply being cut off, being sued for debt plus interest/costs. Irresponsible

Had some planning committee visits to do. Thought I’d go by car to experience gridlock reported due to @TraffordCouncil #A56 #PopUpBikeLane . Sale 1730 > Old Trafford 1748. OT 1800 > Sale 1812 > Altrincham 1822 > Bowdon 1827. Traffic was slower though. Everyone driving at 30mph.
