Going between full on depression and stupid levels of anxiety for the exam results coming out today. I can’t sleep, I can’t relax, I’m literally on the verge of a panic attack because if I don’t pass I just feel like everything I’ve done and worked towards is pointless

Today is my first proper shift as an F1 on urology. It is a long day shift, I’ve fielded what has felt like a million referrals, attempted to clerk them all and currently sat with all the discharges to do. It’s been a birth by fire and i could cry 😢

@RealDoctorMike @MannyMua733 As a med student...it is hard. Let’s not act like it isn’t. Granted it’s easy for some and others struggle but between the hours one can put in and still not pass their exams while others can drink all the time and pass with flying colours is an irony I don’t need.

Went out for a coffee this morning to reflect on yesterday’s OSCE. Arguably a very uncharacteristically fair exam from the med school. Still made loads of mistakes and questioning if I’ve done enough. Trying to move on to the next one…it’s crazy to say I might be nearly there

I was a junior doc for many years and of course they should campaign for the best Ts and Cs. But I could never support the BMA’s approach to withdraw patient care as a negotiating tactic. Using patient care as a bargaining chip is beyond ‘reckless’, it’s shameful.

Hi @geofftech . I was rewatching your Heathrow to Upminster for £1.50 video and it got me thinking about my commute. I’ve made journeys from Romford to Stratford on the TfL rail but even off peak it costs £2.40. Why is this please? It’s still a zone 2-6 journey. Also huge fan!

So today was day 2 of finals. Less deflated than yesterday. Perhaps I’m numb to it by now. Fortunately, I didn’t have a headache during the exam this time. Went over it with a friend and still seemed to get loads wrong soooooo who knows at this point?
