@JanuaryDoNoHarm I’m totally fine with my kids having the autonomy to not tell me all their medical things. Once they are able to consent to things themselves it’s their call if I’m involved. This is good

Teachers why aren’t kids apart? Why aren’t they masking? Why aren’t you doing more? Also do the FSA test? Also teach the curriculum? Also manage the mental health needs of your students? Also good luck with your mental health? Also everyone will pick you apart for all of this!🤯

@CPLiebau @Heath_H1 @JanuaryDoNoHarm Teens sometimes smoke or drink, despite parents not wanting them to. Teens are regularly advised by others about things. I’m focusing on teaching my teens to be critical thinkers, ask questions, and seek out adults they trust to discuss - I’m often one of those adults.

I am disappointed beyond words to read that 94% of teachers accepted awful deal put forward in BC with zero changes to working conditions. I am crushed by the feeling of absolute abandonment of what public education could be. I am not proud to be a BC teacher today.

@shes_rADIAnt @najimcbride The idea that there is a formal way of interacting in an academic setting and in academic writing isn’t wrong. Calling these words gibberish is offensive and not needed. Suggesting that everyone use less casual language in discussions/writing is okay and valid.
