There are no words to express the gratitude I have for these people. Tirelessly working for our students and staff. It’s my great honor to serve with you!
Frisco ISD staff came together over spring break to prepare support for students and teachers as the District plans to implement virtual instruction and other alternative learning options this week. Thanks for all you do!

To be clear, we teach the TEKS. We don’t teach hating our country, we don’t have a ‘woke’ agenda and we never will. We will always teach the TEKS. What is ‘unbelievable’ is that our governor is sowing the seeds of distrust in our teachers and all of public education.

If the Texas legislature had indexed public school funding to inflation,
@friscoisd
could have provided its teachers with a 4% annual raise every year since 2019. The money is there and it has been all along. Our legislators can do better!

At the January

Public schools are in jeopardy. Funding for inflation is being held hostage to pass vouchers. Schools can't pay bills and provide cost of living adjustments without this funding. Funding schools shouldn't be tied to vouchers. Contact key lawmakers now:

All of it! There is no ‘woke’ agenda being taught and we don’t teach children to hate their country. If it’s there, we need to trash the Governor’s/Commissioner’s TEKS that we are required to teach by law. This is all political theater to pass his vouchers. It’s pathetic.
I have deep respect for our veterans and I welcome any that want to become a teacher if they’re qualified
@MattShaheen
but the legislators in Austin need to fix the teacher shortage problem and stop trying to cure it by treating the symptoms. Read 👉🏻
I’m working to address our teacher shortage by working on legislation that allows military veterans to receive temporary teacher certification.

This is not what’s best for students and staff. My belief? Rational minds will prevail. General guidelines can’t even be provided yet clarity on STAAR? Not convinced.
Coronavirus or not, Texas students must take STAAR in 2020-21
Congratulations to all those

#ourFISDstory
Thank you to the Frisco ISD staff members celebrating milestone years of service to FISD for your continued dedication! These individuals will receive recognition from their supervisors along with a service pin in appreciation for their service. Details:
We will not use Texas taxpayer dollars to teach our children to hate our country.
This session, we will remove woke agendas from the classroom and get kids back to the basics of learning.
Liberty's amazing season ends with a state runner-up finish at the Alamodome. Amarillo wins 47-42.

We have legislators like
@KingForTexas
fighting for public education and fighting for our teachers. Thank you!!
Yet, there are other legislators playing political games using our students and teachers as political pawns. It’s sickening to watch. Know their names!

To all educators across the state, you are the only state employees not getting a raise, our state values you less than school choice vouchers. Please see this letter from

True not only in sports, but for any collaborative group with common goals and a common vision. How often do we see talented groups of people fail because they’re more concerned with themselves and their own success than the with the success of the team?
The lawsuit
@friscoisd
joined this week is the result of ‘common sense’ measures districts have been asking for since March, with little success. Perhaps now someone will listen.
🧵Today,
@friscoisd
joined 250 districts and education organizations in asking the TEA to pause its “refresh” of the A-F Accountability System which would retroactively increase the bar for College, Career and Military Readiness by 47%. (1/2)

Running for any position of public service is a difficult and exhausting endeavor. Win or lose, all our School Board candidates are to be commended for their efforts. Congratulations to Chad, Gopal and Natalie. I look forward to working with all of you for the students of FISD.
Unofficial results show that Gopal Ponangi won the Place 1 seat on the Frisco ISD Board of Trustees with 56.9% of the vote, Natalie Hebert won the Place 2 seat with 55% of the vote and Chad Rudy was re-elected to the Place 3 seat with 63% of the vote.
Frisco ISD's system for electing School Board members has been ruled as legal and non-discriminatory by a federal judge. Members of the Board of Trustees are elected by the citizens of FISD and represent all citizens within the District.
