I'm working to remove all exit exams in high schools and give schools the option to use the SAT/ACT/TSI as their exit exam instead. Paired with a prep class, this will give students a head start in applying for colleges, trade schools, or straight into the workforce. #txed

In House Bill 3, we raise the minimum salary for fully certified teachers and ensure that districts will have enough money to pay for these increases. By putting this in statute, we're ensuring that it would take a change in statute to ever do away with these pay raises. #txed
